ARINI CASA VINICOLA S.A.S.

http://www.cantinearini.it/

The Arini Winery is a historic company in the production of Marsala DOC, founded in 1952 by Arini Giuseppe in collaboration with his parent Arini Giacomo. The management of the company is family-run and by choice it has always maintained modest dimensions in order to allow direct control, in all the various phases of management, by the members of the family and to be able to offer the consumer products that are considered quality products. niche. Men and women who passionately dedicate their time to the production of quality wines.

The company mission is to obtain, at all costs, the highest quality of the wines produced, respecting tradition and taking into account the needs of consumers increasingly turned towards young, fresh and refined consumption and to be able to offer its own wines with an excellent quality/price ratio. The wines produced come almost entirely from the vineyards owned by the Arini family which extend over hilly geographical areas and located in the territory of some municipalities in the province of Trapani such as Marsala, Mazara del Vallo, Salemi and Paceco.

The vineyards are cultivated respecting the environment and organically. Inside the cellar the wines are refined and stored in different types of wine vessels depending on the products to be obtained and therefore we move from those in cement to those in steel and from oak barrels for the aging of Marsala to barriques for fine red wines and dessert liqueur wines.

The territory

With its 25,000 hectares of territory and a population of 80,000 inhabitants, the city of Marsala stands on a pleasant promontory close to the sea. The historic center was once enclosed within an almost square-shaped city wall and entry to the city was possible through the imposing doors that opened on all four sides.

Of the original four, today it is possible to admire only two: Porta Garibaldi, on which a Latin inscription entrusts to God who enters and leaves the city, and Porta Nuova. For the clarity of its waters, it has obtained the Blue Flag of the European Union several times.

The vineyards

“Here is the rain that falls from the sky on our vineyards, it penetrates the roots of the vines to be transformed into wine, a constant proof that God loves us, and loves to see us happy.”
(Benjamin Franklin)

Marsala

In a flat area that extends between sea level and a maximum altitude of 26 meters, without significant watercourses, but rich in aquifers. The hinterland is characterized by plains planted with vineyards that slope gently down to the sea. The siliceous-clay composition of the soil and the mild climate in the winter months and hot and prolonged summers, with little rainfall, make it a unique territory, among the most planted with vines in Italy and particularly suitable for the production of fragrant white grapes rich in personality like Grillo, an ancient vine native to this area and a leading player in the production of Marsala but also extraordinary when grown in high altitude and vinified in purity.

Trapani

The territory, located between sea level and a maximum altitude of 750 metres, is mainly made up of clay and limestone and has a precarious hydrogeological structure. Soft hills alternate with plains where the yellow of the wheat gives way to the colors of the cultivation of sapling and espalier vineyards and olive groves. Here the soil together with a mild climate in winter and hot in summer, with a strong temperature range, represents the perfect habitat for the cultivation of black grapes such as Nero d'Avola, Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon .

Mazara del Vallo

The territory, made up of a calcareous plain located between sea level and a maximum altitude of 150 metres, is crossed by the Mazaro and Delia rivers and in the area north towards Salemi is characterized by outcropping calcarenites. Rolling hills and fertile plains make up the landscape cultivated mainly with vineyards and olive groves which here find a very fertile soil. The particular siliceous-clayey composition of the soil and the climate, mild in the winter months and with hot and prolonged summers, make this area suitable for development of vines with intense and elegant aromas, with floral and citrus notes such as Insolia and Chardonnay.

Salemi

The territory, of a clayey nature, is crossed by the Grande river and develops between a minimum altitude of 110 meters and a maximum of 750 meters, in the heart of the Belice Valley, made up of green and fertile hills and carefully cultivated countryside. The vineyards are located on fertile soil with a calcareous composition, a loose soil that allows the roots to penetrate deeply finding water and kissed by a scorching sun and heated by a perfect climate for the ripening of black grapes such as Frappato and Nero d'Avola and where fine aromatic vines such as Zibibbo and fruity vines such as Grecanico find ideal conditions.
