Corilu Società Cooperativa Agricola, Lu e Cuccaro Monferrato

Lu is a small town of just over a thousand inhabitants in the heart of Monferrato. These hills, together with Langhe and Roero, which have always been the cradle of excellent products, have recently been declared a UNESCO heritage site. In 1996 a group of growers who had always been friends in life and collaborators in the work in the fields decided to convert all their land into hazelnut groves, when at the time the area in the area was mainly made up of vineyards. The aim was to continue the long tradition of hazelnut cultivation, very ancient, as demonstrated by the discovery of notarial documents that refer to it as early as the end of the 1500s. Lu, with its rolling hills and sunny climate, represents the ideal territory for this cultivation.
