Fregula Sarda tostata fine
The Sardinian "Fregula" is a kind of pasta similar to the Arabic cous cous, the likely outcome of contamination by populations that have invaded Sardinia in the past centuries.
Origin: native to Sardinia (called "Fregula" or "Freula" in the Campidano's slang, or "Su Succu" in Logudoro Region - North Sardinia), obviously the name internationally recognized is "Fregula Sarda".
Together with “Malloreddus” is the typical Sardinian product better known and appreciated in the world of dry pasta. It's hard to think of a restaurant or any type of venue in Sardinia where the Fregula it's not served.
