The history of La Fiammante dates back to the 1950s, but it was at the end of the 1970s that the brand was acquired by the Franzese family with the aim of recovering and relaunching the most authentic traditions of Campania, the homeland of the Mediterranean diet and the cradle of the Italian canning industry. Due to the company's growth and the rapid evolution of the Neapolitan suburbs, the processing plant was transferred to Buccino, in the province of Salerno, at the gates of the Cilento. This area is more compatible with the goals of a food company focused on quality and environmental sustainability, and is also the capital of the Mediterranean diet and tomatoes. ICAB - Industria Conserve Alimentari Buccino boasts historic brands such as La Fiammante, its flagship brand, La Paesana (or F.lli PAUDICE) and La Reale, all representing the history of Italian-made preserved foods in the South.
