LA PILA Carnaroli Classico Semi-Worked rice, grown in spring waters and produced from original Carnaroli seeds , is cared for from seed to packaging and is a naturally gluten-free product with certified supply chain traceability that can be verified simply by scanning the QR code printed on the back of the bag with your smartphone.
Carnaroli is a rice with a large and vitreous grain , precisely because of this particularity it is suitable for soft risottos, excellent for recipes with aromatic vegetables, with saffron and for rice salads. Excellent cooking resistance, the grain maintains its consistency for a long time even once cooked.
Carnaroli Semi-Worked Classic is a semi-whole grain stone-worked rice that , unlike Carnaroli Classic, is slightly darker because it is less worked ; this makes the grain even tastier, rich in nutritional properties and with 232% more fiber than Carnaroli Classic, making it ideal for all diets that require a high percentage of fiber. Furthermore , Carnaroli Classic Semi-Worked maintains its consistency for a long time even once cooked.
The Classic Rice regulation, active since the 2018 sowing campaign, is very restrictive and provides for:
the exclusive use of Certified Original Seed
the sowing limit per hectare in order not to exhaust the rice fields (in the case of Classic Carnaroli it goes from a minimum of 180 kg to a maximum of 250 kg of original seed per hectare)
the separate and identified storage of the Classico paddy rice harvested from any rice generated from non-original seeds (as many as 9 for Carnaroli)
an analytical documentation that must be kept by each agricultural company and sent in copy to the National Rice Board which carries out checks on the veracity of the documentation
