Blanched Almonds
In the Middle Ages, almonds were served as a digestive aid after meals. Peeled almonds contain minerals, vitamins, fibers, and proteins.
In Italy, almond cultivation is widespread in the southern regions, particularly in Puglia and Sicily, although there are also some plantations in other regions such as Sardinia, Abruzzo, Calabria, Basilicata, and Campania.
Almonds contain unsaturated fats, proteins, plant fibers, minerals, and vitamins, especially Vitamin E and B2 (riboflavin).
