Cannonau di Sardegna DOC Riserva 2017
Classification: CANNONAU DI SARDEGNA DOC RISERVA Description: An important Grenache, a grape typically grown on the island, where it takes the name of Cannonau, the island's wine reference, complex, typical that in the reserve typology, aged in wooden barrels brings to the table the most intense and varietal aromas of this vine where notes of local aromatic essences stand out. Characteristics: The grapes are harvested when fully ripe with a light drying on the vine, are promptly pressed, destemmed and fermented at a controlled temperature, not excessively low to allow for adequate extraction of color and "good" tannins, a short maceration and then a long aging of 2 years in tanks alternating about 6 months in large old Tonneau, the result is a warm and intense flavor resulting from a slow aging in wood, complex with intense and aromatic notes of scrubland and red fruits, a dark garnet red color. Vineyards of origin: From carefully selected vineyards in northern Sardinia. Harvest: After a light drying on the vine, by hand into crates.
