Cannonau di Sardegna DOC Riserva 2017
Classification: CANNONAU DI SARDEGNA DOC RISERVA Description: An important Grenache, a grape typically grown on the island, where it takes on the name of Cannonau, the island's wine reference, complex, typical, which in the reserve typology, refined in wooden barrels brings to the table the most intense and varietal aromas of this vine where notes of local aromatic essences stand out. Characteristics: The grapes harvested when fully ripe with a light drying on the plant, are promptly pressed, destemmed and fermented at a controlled temperature, not excessively low to allow adequate extraction of "good" colour and tannins, a short maceration and then a long refinement of 2 years in a tank alternating with approximately 6 months in large old Tonneau, the result is a warm and intense taste resulting from a slow refinement in wood, complex with intense and aromatic notes of scrub and red fruits, with a dark garnet red colour. Vineyards of origin: From the vineyards of northern Sardinia, carefully selected. Harvest: After a light drying on the vine, manual in crates.
