Franco is the founder of this company in the heart of fertile Daunia and he started from nothing, conquering every hectare of his property with hard work. Today, 30 years after its birth, the Ammollo company has many lands including olive groves, vineyards, arable fields and a farmhouse dating back to the land reform, soon home to a social agriculture project. All Pianta Rei olive trees are in the north of Puglia, in the countryside of Torremaggiore, in the province of Foggia, in the heart of Tavoliere and at the foot of the Gargano National Park. They are divided into several plots of different ages, all cultivated organically. The olive trees, which cover 7 hectares of the company, are approximately 1,400 and have an average age of 50-60 years. The vast majority of plants belong to the Peranzana cultivar, native to the area, while in smaller numbers there is a pollinator cultivar, the Rotondella.
