For us, making wine is a family affair: from grandfather to son to grandson. Generations that they grow and revolve around the vineyards and barrels. Among the historic cellars of the Cerasuolo di Vittoria Classico area, but also among the main production realities of eastern Sicily, Avide has always stood out for the pursuit of quality both in the vineyard and in the cellar. The Avide farm has been certified organic since 2018 and every year, it processes about 3000 quintals of grapes, deriving from the over 40 hectares of property. The grapes processed are almost exclusively indigenous, and are the only basis for the production of the company's 12 labels. Frappato, Nero d'Avola, Grillo and insolia come from the three vineyard areas of the company - Chiaramonte Gulfi, Vittoria and Acate - and are always worked for single variety, in order to guarantee the best physical conditions for the extraction and maintenance of the aromas and color of the grapes and wines.
