EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL

Libero Gatti extra virgin olive oil is obtained by pressing the "carolea" variety olives harvested in the property's olive grove located in Santa Maria del Mare in the municipality of STALETTI' CZ.

The slightly bitter and spicy oil has an averagely perceived medium fruity aroma.

After the manual harvesting of the olives with beating, the processing at the oil mill is carried out with cold pressing, and the oil is then bottled at the Oliosud oil mill in Cotronei with labeling with the EU stamp and also JAS for the Japanese market.

We harvest our olives, even at the end of September at the first veraison, from plants grown starting from the Copanello cliffs up to 200 meters above sea level. To guarantee maximum integrity to the fruit and avoid any type of stress on the plant, we carry out the harvesting exclusively by hand. The olives, packaged in ventilated boxes, after being defoliated, are pressed within a few hours of harvesting.

The oil is packaged at the external Calabrian oil mills certified BIO, technologically advanced plants with high quality production.

Use oil as a finishing touch on ready-made dishes, such as soups, stews and even pizza. A drizzle of EVO oil will add a rich aroma and distinctive flavor, completing your dishes with elegance.
