FiberPasta pasta has a low glycemic index (certified Glycemic Index 23). It has a content of
very high fiber (15g x 100g), about double compared to wholemeal pasta, and has the good flavor of pasta
traditional. It has a low nickel content (0.071mg/Kg) and is produced with 100% Italian wheat
selected from the best durum wheat semolina from the Marche region.
In 2001, FiberPasta obtained the Ministry of Health Decree as a food suitable for diabetics.
Thanks to the high fiber content which allows for less absorption of fats and sugars (allowing
lower calorie intake), FiberPasta is recommended by dieticians and nutritionists in diabetic diets,
for weight and cholesterol control and to help regulate the intestine. The addition of
precious vegetable fiber inulin offers benefits to the intestinal bacterial flora.
FiberPasta is also widely used in the sports field and recommended by sports doctors even in
diets of athletes and sportsmen, thanks to the slow release of carbohydrates which maintains energy for a prolonged time,
avoiding glycemic peaks and therefore contributing to the improvement of sports performances.
