Castello di Cicognola

From the last orogenic thrusts of the Apennines of the Lombardy-Ligurian-Emilian triangle the Cigognola vineyards suddenly appear. Beyond these extreme billows of geology, the land in the direction of thrust (from south-west to north-east) is flat up to the foothills of the Pre-Alps, with a few exceptions. Precisely on the steep slopes of Cigognola, the moods of Pinot Noir nourished by the juices of the earth and combined with the heat of the sun (Purg. XXV) are made wine with a lot of heart, head, hands and feet.
