ARIAVECCHIA

ARIAVECCHIA is our selection of GRECO DI TUFO , a Cru whose grapes come from a well-defined portion of the estate vineyard located close to the winery in Prata Principato Ultra, Avellino. The soil of this part of the vineyard is rich in limestone and rests deep in sulfur rock, which bring a distinct minerality and savoriness to the wine.

ARIAVECCHIA is produced only in the best vintages starting in 2006: the grapes are harvested exclusively by hand in small boxes when aromatic ripeness along with acid shoulder is judged optimal, usually around mid-October.

Carefully selected grapes bunch by bunch are soft-pressed and vinified in white wine at a controlled temperature.

The must ages on its fine lees for at least 18 months.

This long aging sur-lies in addition to granting a slow and progressive build-up of the organoleptic system allows the wine to stabilize naturally.

It is marketed after an additional bottle aging period of at least 12 months.
