ARCUCCI HAS INTENSELY EXPERIENCED THE WORLD OF TABLEWARE AND FURNISHINGS FOR OVER 40 YEARS.

In fact, Giuseppe Arcucci , after a decade at the helm of a leading industrial group, founded his own commercial company "ARCUCCI TRADE" in 1981 which distributes important international brands in Italy using an efficient commercial organization and modern marketing strategies.

In the early 90s his children Cristiano and Simona joined the company bringing new energy and new motivation.

In 2010, following the international crisis caused by the American financial collapse, Arcucci decided to put his skills in the ceramic world to good use.

He decides to support the commercial division with a production reality by investing in factories and relaunching MADE IN ITALY productions which, under the brands "ARCUCCI" and "ARCUCCI HOME", have achieved leadership on the Italian and international markets.

Since the dawn of civilization, man has learned to obtain it in nature to work it and create the most disparate tools and objects. Although the word ceramic derives from the Greek “keramos”, its discovery dates back to even more ancient times. The first ceramic objects appear in the Neolithic and were mainly kitchen utensils. With the advent of Egyptian and Chinese civilizations, ceramics began to be worked to create ornamental objects.

As regards Italy, although it was already used in Roman times, it was only in the Middle Ages that the first artisan workshops were born, in particular Tuscany and Emilia Romagna were the cradle of the production of Majolica. Starting from the 15th century, ceramics became the covering material for palaces, churches and squares. In a short time it became a flag of the Italian Renaissance.

The Italian masters have learned techniques from distant countries, making production companies flourish that are still operational today in various locations in our country: Faenza, Gubbio, Montelupo, Mondovì, Deruta, Vietri, Fasano, Caltagirone, Santo Stefano di Camastra.

The art of ceramics is one of the oldest human arts. The discovery of mixing clay with water and cooking it seems to have occurred in the East. In Italy it has been influenced by the various dominations of civilizations that have left their mark: the Phoenicians, the Greeks, the Byzantines and the Spanish.

The colonization of various parts of Italy by distant civilizations have enriched and refined ceramic craftsmanship. In fact, it was the Arabs who brought the glazing technique. From the Spanish, however, we learned the use of new colors such as blue alongside yellow, green or manganese.
